About 20% of the world’s population derives at least one-fifth of its animal protein intake from fish. On the other hand, the rise of feed price has reduced the profit as in chick business it is the middlemen who rule the roost most. The cost of chick, its medicine, vaccination and a very delicate rearing of it in farm all are a big drain on the chick traders now. There is, however, great potential for aquaculture and poultry farming to support income security and nutritional diversity, as part of an integrated approach.

Breeding Chamber

We came up with a Chamber which helps in breeding of BSF in large number. Black soldier fly adults have special visual receptors, and successful mating only occurs when the right lights are available. But in many northern regions where sunlight is not adequate, we considered using an artificial light source for black soldier fly breeding.

With the help of our chamber small entrepreneur can start their own farm of BSF. The Farming of BSF does not require extra effort or space; It can easily be managed and can be produced in small area.
